For decades, physical education and sports period has been a major school curriculum component. However, earlier it was one of the highly ignored aspects in the context of the overall development of a child. Having said the above, most certainly we all can further vouch for the fact that how sports inculcates many qualities in children. Sports develop the physical as well as mental strength in students. Daily physical exercise is essential for students because exercise not only helps students to stay healthy, but it also helps to improve their emotional fitness. 

Because of sports, it helps to learn various skills to students like leadership, patience, patience, team efforts, and social skills. Nowadays, students eat a lot of junk food, and they gain fat at a very young age. So, to reduce the fatness sports activities are very important for students. Sports activities avoid the formation of excess fat, and students stay fit and slim. Daily sports activities help students to maintain a good fitness level. 

The interest in outdoor games also reduces indoor activities like watching television and video games. When students are part of any sports team, so it helps them to interact with many people of different ages. The daily physical activities help students to improve their memory and refresh their minds. If sports are part of daily routine, then students can perform better in their academics.

Among students getting more physical activity, academic performance may be because physical activities scattered throughout the day improve the concentration ability of students. One study done over a thirty-nine-year period consisting of 58,000 students revealed that standardized test scores and grades improved for students that participated in school fitness programs. With increased concentration abilities, students have more of a capability of engaging in problem-solving activities and focusing on academic tasks. 

Having exercises regularly and performing mental therapies, boosts our mind, soul, and body. PE helps children to develop their confidence. We can say that 70 percent of school-going children do not get any exposure to any focused and planned physical education. Of the remaining children, only those with an active inclination towards sports get to do a little more physical activity & sports. 

This can have a positive aspect in all areas of their life, such as their personal relationships and ability to integrate quickly and make friends, to think about their future goals. Realizing its importance many schools have woken up and started taking steps in the direction, with many already working with outsourced professional organizations to help deliver systematic PE & sports programs within the school hours of PE periods.
