GIS at The Rashtrapati Bhavan
On Thursday, 14th November, 2019, 6 students and 2 teachers of GIS had a rare opportunity to be invited and participate in the Children’s Day celebrations at The Rashtrapati Bhavan with The Honourable President of India Shri Ramnath Kovind and the First Lady.
Students were elated to have ‘a once in a lifetime’ moment as they interacted with the The President and The First Lady.
The Vision of GIS has always driven us to lead students to have an unprecedented scope of learning beyond classrooms and text books to make them become independent and critical thinkers.
The Management would like to express its gratitude to the President of India for their courteous hospitality and provide us with such an enriching and memorable experience.
Gangotri International School's Students Participated In Robotex India National Competition
What is Robotex India?
Robotex India is an annual event and the biggest robotics festival on the planet. Thousands of engineers, executives, students and families come together to be inspired by industry leaders, examine new startups, build robots for various challenges and learn about the latest technology innovations. 5+ regional locations across India empowering imagination and advancement in thousands of youthful personalities while teaching.
3 KG Lego Sumo
LEGO Sumo robot has to push its opponent out of the ring while following all the rules of competitions. Competitions are for all age groups. The weight of the robot has to be between 2 kg and 3 kg.
Gangotri International School Students Participated In Robotex India National competition mentored by RoboFun Lab for 3KG Lego Sumo event held in Ahmedabad on 27 & 28 July. More than 16 teams from all over INDIA participated in this event to compete with custom-built robots. During the event, two days of intense back-to-back matches “RFL-GIS” team cleared qualifying round, semifinals and got 3rd rank in final. The team was selected for Internationals in Europe to represent India in Robotex ASIA Internationals.
