I extend my warm regards to each and everyone who are part of the Gangotri International School, which is considered as a sacred place where we nurture kids and help them dream big. As an institution our responsibility is not only to go beyond the horizons for providing knowledge, but also to mold the child’s personality to be a better human. To continue this legacy of being a prime educational Centre in Gondal city which is opulent for “value education system” by Bhagwat Singh our focus is to stay true to our ethics and values. Inculcating these values is one of the major objectives GIS strive.

“A good education is the greatest gift you can give yourself or anyone else.” We at GIS, believe that a school must give value education, discipline, all round development for every child and that can come in many different forms by different way. Our dedicated staff show’s attentiveness in all children and are committed to each child’s future success by best possible learning and teaching practices that promote individual growth and achievement, leadership and co-operation with each other. Working with a team of dedicated teachers who strongly follow our E3 system where a child-centric classes are conducted, which encourage individual talents at each stage of student’s development in the school. Our I3 system caters activities that ensure critical and creative thinking thus enabling the children to think beyond books, encouraging scientific temper and problem-solving skills. The need and importance of value education in the 21st century are far more important by teaching children about essential human values, we introduced Bhagvad Geeta in our curriculum to help them understand the importance of ethical behaviour and cultivating compassion. It provides students with a positive view of life and motivates them to become good human being, help those in need, respect their community as well as become more responsible and sensible. We are proud of the dedicated efforts of our students, parents and staff to make GIS the wonderful place to learn.

It has become a cliché to say that education, especially at school, should be a joyful experience. But here at GIS we take pride in our practices of not just imparting information, sharpening the multifarious 21st century skills, but also ensuring the learners to be happy in life. Hence, we exult in the abilities of our illustrious Mentors who strive towards the development in terms of 3Hs, i.e. development of the head, the hand and the heart, all with equal importance. We at GIS are incessantly working towards developing in each individual learner - a Cognitive Domain, Affective Domain and Psychomotor Domain (CAP). We believe that education must lead an individual towards a broad and inclusive PERSPECTIVE on life, a positive ATTITUDE even in the midst of challenges, a continuous honing of one's SKILLS to perform better and a rich repertoire of KNOWLEDGE or information by remaining updated always - thus leading to a PASK approach. Dr. S Radhakrishanan has rightly put it - "Literacy sans sensitivity and compassion can make us devils." Our scriptures too have enumerated 5 responsibilities of the teacher: 1. यामांतु ब्रह्मचारिणम्: - welcoming and greeting students warmly everyday. 2. विमायंतु ब्रह्मचारिणाम - moulding the students. 3. प्रयांतु ब्रह्मचारिणाम - teaching them properly by imparting quality education. 4. दमायंतु ब्रह्मचारिणाम - helping them to imbibe moral values upheld by our culture. 5. शमायन्तु ब्रह्मचारिणाम - facilitating their inner growth by helping students to get in touch with their inner self. To sum it up, modern civilization cannot survive unless it is inspired by ethical and spiritual values. Educational institutions are living organisms needing continuous nurturance. And teachers at every level with their infinite potential and power to influence learners, can metamorphose the humanity into a happy, harmonious and satiated society, which is our mission and vision at GIS.
