It is righteously quoted that “A building is only as tall as the foundation is strong enough to build on.” And the foundation of any person is laid during his/her initial years of life when he/she starts learning the essentials of being a human being.

Education has been the food of humans because without it humans cannot grow their food. And it is important to seek quality education to be able to take a stand of self in this world of competing minds around. But before that comes the most important part of learning and being able to learn and that starts straight after the baby is born. Although the learning of a person starts from the point of time that they are born at, but the very formal education starts as part of Primary Education through school enrolments and teachings of professionally trained educators.

What is Primary Education and how it impacts a child’s life?

Primary Education is typically the first stage of formal education, coming after preschool and before secondary school. According to the International Standard Classification of Education, primary education normally started between the ages of 5 – 8 and was designed to give an apt basic skill in reading, writing, and mathematics along with an elementary understanding of other subjects. Primary education covers a rapidly developing phase of children’s development and is crucial for the whole of their lives. And the key objective is to teach children to think critically and help them to achieve high living standards, to face the challenges posed by technological development and advancements of citizenship and basic values.

Primary education has several benefits in the development of a child. Here, some of them are described:

1. Supports Social and Emotional Development

2. Teaches Independence and Confidence

3. Improves Reading and Communication Skills

4. Inculcates a desire and curiosity to learn

Primary education is the catalyst for the next generation of leaders, thinkers, and innovators and hence is measured as the base for future intellectual developments. The whole agenda that it puts forward is in exploring the interests and skills of children to channelize them into proper places, meanwhile putting an utmost effort to raise a well behaved and cultured human.

The prime focus of it is not only relevant to the concerned individual but also to the society that he is part of, and it becomes really an important factor to look into what the individual has in capabilities to return to the society (to elders and to the future generations).

Hence it could be promptly stated that any man is what and how he feeds his brain and that starts from how he starts to learn and implement the basics through Primary Education.
