Being well-rounded for college applications is one of the top reasons for students to join college organizations and clubs. However, there are a lot more benefits to be gained from such activities than extra bullet points on the resume.

However, the Music Club is one of the most prestigious and sought-after clubs of any college or institute.

They carry the responsibility of instilling a sense of music and cultural wonder. The members of the music club take part in various intra and inter-college events throughout the year while hosting a multitude of musical performances over the two semesters. Some mainstream options available in these music clubs are band, orchestra, and choir – each of them has great things to offer. Year-round workshops are organized, covering several genres- Bollywood, western, Punjabi, pop, rock, and rap. When it comes to band and orchestra, of course, you have the many various instruments to choose from. The only thing that matters is, to be the best at whatever you do. The encouragement from teachers and parents helps the students to play musical instruments which will build pride and a sense of responsibility among them.

Being a part of such clubs is also useful for students with college admissions where certificates of inter-college competitions add some extra percentage in their total percentage. BY this, some students could secure their dream colleges. Learning to play music is a challenge that helps the students exercise their brains in new ways. It creates a sense of creativity in their minds. While some may feel this would be another burden as they already have a hectic schedule and assignments to finish, but it can actually be a soothing and a sigh of relief for the brain. It helps to give the students a healthy break from their college work but still keeps his or her mind working. Students can fight stress by learning to play music as many of them find learning, playing, and listening to music to be therapeutic, so being so engaged in it on a regular basis could give a student great emotional stability as well.

Apart from the above-mentioned benefits, music helps build imagination and intellectual curiosity via artistic education. Students who practice music daily have better auditory attention and pick out a predictable pattern from surrounding noise. These music clubs help the students to gain confidence through stage performances. Music clubs give them various opportunities and a wide range of exposure among other college students and faculty.

Many students have built a career by just being a part of just clubs. Music Clubs are beneficial for them as it provides an experience of the real world when they go out and perform. Nowadays every other college or university is supporting extracurricular activities and Music as their priority.
